Lia's first week

So Amelia is officially a little over a week old now. She's been SO good, it's really been great. Mindy is recovering quite well from her surgery. She also has been able to get more sleep lately, which is surprising to both of us. We took Lia in to our pediatrician on Tuesday and she checked her jaundice levels and was not concerned for her. She had gained 4 ounces since leaving the hospital which means she is eating and getting nourishment. We gave her her first bath this morning and she was a little traumatized after coming out of the water, but once she was wrapped up she was happy and comfortable again. I went back to work on Thursday and Friday of this week, which was kind of hard, but Mindy said she's been doing fine and we still have great support from family and friends. Welcome to our blog!

Mindy and I thought that we should start a blog to post pictures and info about our new arrival to the family, Amelia Mae Rose!! She was born 9-11-2008 at the University of Utah Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs. and 2 oz., was 19.5 inches long, had a full head of hair and big alert eyes. She surprised us because she went from head down two days prior..to breech on Thursday. She arrived a week and a half early via c-section. She is healthy and happy. We survived our first day and night at home. We were a bit scared but things went fairly well. Please send any donations to.....just kidding...anyway, thanks so much for all your support and kindness.
